How can I list items for sale on my website without having to pay for it a monthly fee or click fee?

I am trying to find a way to list my items for sale from my website but have found that most search engines charge a monthly fee and a pay per click fee. Are there any free search engines I can sign up for to have my products included in searches for free?

Google does not charge you anything if you can get into their organic listings.

But if you use Adwords, then that’s a different story – that’s a pay per click advertising tool.

Yahoo combines PPC with their organic listings.
